Opera Gala and Verdi’s ‘Rigoletto’

The focus of this trip is an opera gala featuring Piotr Beczała at the National Forum of Music and Giuseppe Verdi’s opera “Rigoletto” in a new production by the Wrocław Opera. The two performances will take place on two consecutive evenings.

NFM ORLEN Main Hall
Piotr Beczała has been one of the most sought-after tenors on the international stage for many years.
On 9 December 2026, the tenor will perform at an opera gala in the grand ORLEN Hall of the National Forum for Music in Wrocław.
The modern Narodowe Forum Muzyki, or NFM for short, is situated on the edge of Wrocław’s Old Town. The grand hall is home to the NFM Filharmonia Wrocławska.

Just six days after the premiere, come and see Opera Wrocławska’s new production of “Rigoletto”.
Mirian Khukhunaishvili conducts. Direction, set design and costumes are by Michał Znaniecki. The opera is sung in Italian with Polish and English surtitles.
Wrocław during Advent
In December, the Christmas market stretches from the Main Market Square through several streets in Wrocław’s Old Town.
A sea of lights from wooden huts stretches all the way to the Salt Market and into the neighbouring alleyways. Among the stalls, you’ll find Polish classics such as pierogi, bigos and grilled oscypek, along with grzane wino – Polish mulled wine – served in small boot-shaped cups.

Sarah is situated in the Four Denominations Quarter, in the Jewish part of Wrocław’s Old Town, right next to the historic White Stork Synagogue. Today, the quarter is one of the liveliest areas of Wrocław’s Old Town.
This beautiful restaurant feels a little out of step with the times. Dark wooden tables, old cupboards, historical pictures and small lace tablecloths are more reminiscent of a private dining room.

Modern design near the NFM
The PURO is situated in the Four Denominations Quarter, in the Jewish-influenced part of Wrocław’s Old Town around Włodkowica Street. Small restaurants and bars are right on the doorstep. The White Stork Synagogue and our recommended restaurant, Sarah, are also just a few steps away. It’s only a short walk to the National Forum of Music (NFM). The opera house is also within easy walking distance.
The hotel features a clean, modern design. It has 102 rooms, a lovely courtyard, and the HINT restaurant and bar.
