The musical highlight
Hildur Guðnadóttir is one of the most significant composers of our time. On 15 June 2026, she will present her programme *Nærmynd* in the Main Hall of the Concertgebouw, together with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra.
The word Nærmynd can be understood as a close-up, that is, a detailed, personal glimpse into Hildur Guðnadóttir’s musical world.
Hildur Guðnadóttir, an associate artist of the Holland Festival 2026, has made music history with her film scores for Joker, TÁR and
A Haunting in Venice. In Nærmynd, you will hear her award-winning compositions alongside works by artists who have influenced her: Arvo Pärt, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Kaija Saariaho, Mica Levi and Alvin Lucier. The programme is complemented by two new works written especially for this evening. The musical direction is in the hands of Daníel Bjarnason, one of Iceland’s leading conductors and composers.
