Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto on 22 February 2026 at the Royal Danish Opera
The musical highlight
Rigoletto has everything you could want from an Italian opera: a captivating plot and melodies that linger in the ear long after the curtain falls, including the famous tenor aria ‘La donna è mobile’.
The performance takes place in Copenhagen's modern opera house, an architectural landmark right on the waterfront. Three impressive chandeliers by Olafur Eliasson hang in the foyer of the opera house. Their artistic reflection of light alone makes it worth taking a look at the entrance hall.
