Horizons: North Sea Concert on 9 May 2026
The musical highlight
On Saturday, 9 May 2026, a special evening is planned in Flensburg as part of the folkBALTICA programme: ‘Horizons: North Sea Concert’ at the Robbe und Berking shipyard in the industrial harbour. The shipyard atmosphere is a perfect fit, as the music takes listeners on a sea voyage through the North Sea and the North Atlantic, from the coastal landscape of northern Germany via Norway and Shetland to Greenland. The line-up includes the Danish trio Stundom, Scottish violinist Catriona MacDonald, Norwegian singer Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen and Rasmus Lyberth from Greenland, together with the Insel Ensemble and guests. Seating is unreserved.
