What internationally renowned artist Ólafur Elíasson has created in the east windows of St Nicholas' Cathedral in Greifswald is unlike anything else in Europe.
His artwork ‘Window for Moving Light’ captures the light entering from the east, creating an ever-changing display of colours across the cathedral's interior.
On 16 January 2027, this remarkable setting provides the backdrop for a performance of Mozart's Requiem in D minor, K. 626.
The Greifswald University Choir and University Symphony Orchestra will also perform the overture to Mozart's opera ‘Don Giovanni’ and one of his violin concertos.
