On 19 December 2026, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, together with the NDR Vocal Ensemble, will perform
Berlioz’s 'L’Enfance du Christ' in the Grand Hall of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
At Christmas, many people celebrate the birth of Jesus, and in numerous churches, nativity plays set the mood for the festive season. However, for those who wish to experience more than just familiar traditions, this concert is the perfect choice:
under the baton of Robin Ticciati, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the NDR Vocal Ensemble will present ‘L’enfance du Christ’, offering a profound insight into the childhood of Jesus.
The performers include Marianne Crebassa, Cyrille Dubois, Stéphane Degout and William Thomas.
Alongside the concert, we’ll give you an insight into the work of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.
According to current plans, rehearsals will take place not at the Elbphilharmonie but at the Logenhaus, and there’s the option to attend a rehearsal or take part in a meet-and-greet with the musicians. These activities are subject to availability.
