The musical highlight in Heringsdorf
The Finnish band Värttinä stands for powerful world music, polyphonic female vocals and Nordic-influenced folk music. Their soundtrack to the musical ‘Lord of the Rings’, which premiered in Toronto in 2006, has made them internationally famous.
The concert will take place as part of the Usedom Music Festival, which will be celebrated on the island from 20 September to 11 October 2025. There will be concerts in unusual locations such as churches, villas and power stations. The Villa Esplanade in Heringsdorf provides an atmospheric setting.

Music Travel Hideaways Special: Visit to the Usedom distillery
Look forward to a visit to the Usedom distillery in the historic Mölschow manor house, including a guided tour and tasting of regional specialities. In around 90 minutes, you will learn more about the production process using local ingredients, the philosophy behind it and taste everything that is produced there - including gin, aquavit, hazelnut spirit and rum. Non-alcoholic alternatives are also on offer.
