Brad Mehldau is one of the most influential jazz pianists of his generation, known for his finely nuanced improvisations and programs that combine jazz standards with influences from pop and classical music. Christian McBride is one of the most prominent double bassists in international jazz, a multiple award winner who has been touring the world's stages for many years with his own bands and alongside
Pat Metheny and Wynton Marsalis.
The Philharmonie Luxembourg
The Philharmonie Luxembourg is located on the Kirchberg Plateau, in the heart of the European quarter, and is one of the most striking concert halls in Europe. Christian de Portzamparc's white building is surrounded by over 800 slender columns, which create a light-filled colonnade and envelop the foyer. Behind this “column landscape” lies the Grand Auditorium with its classic hall shape and excellent acoustics.
