The musical highlight

Ludovico Einaudi and Milan share a long musical history.

The Turin-born pianist and composer studied composition at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan.

Since 2015, Ludovico Einaudi has brought his musical year to a close with a series of concerts at the Teatro Dal Verme.

His Milan concerts have since become an established tradition.

In 2026, he returns to the Teatro Dal Verme for another series of performances. For our concert trip, we have selected the three consecutive dates from 27 to 29 November 2026.

Ludovico Einaudi’s music combines his classical training with minimalist music and contemporary influences.

Many of his compositions have also become familiar to international audiences through films such as ‘The Intouchables’.

The Teatro Dal Verme opened in 1872 and is one of Milan’s historic music venues.

It was here, on 31 May 1884, that the young Giacomo Puccini achieved one of his first major successes with ‘Le Villi’.

Eight years later, Ruggero Leoncavallo’s ‘Pagliacci’ received its world premiere in the same theatre.

Today, the Teatro Dal Verme is home to the Milanese orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali and hosts concerts across a wide range of musical genres.

It is a Milanese music venue with an important past, yet remains far less internationally known than La Scala.

On the day of your concert, we recommend a visit to the Museo degli Strumenti Musicali at Castello Sforzesco.

The collection comprises around 900 musical instruments. One of its most unusual exhibits is a fully preserved section of the RAI Studio di Fonologia Musicale, founded in Milan in 1955 by Luciano Berio and Bruno Maderna.

This was a studio where musicians experimented with electronic sound long before electronic music became commonplace.

Today, its historic oscillators, tape recorders and other technical equipment can still be seen, along with parts of the original furnishings.

Ludovico Einaudi later studied with Luciano Berio and worked as his assistant.

By the end of November, Milan is already preparing for the Advent season, and the city takes on a different atmosphere in the evening.

Casa Brivio is a small boutique hotel in the historic centre of Milan.

The history of Palazzo Brivio dates back to the 15th century. Following severe wartime damage, part of the building was reconstructed in 1972 in the clean lines of Milanese post-war architecture.

The interiors also have a distinctly Milanese character. The rooms are furnished with pieces by the Italian design house Cassina.

For your stay, we recommend the Deluxe Room, measuring approximately 20 m², with a queen-size bed and a small sitting area.
