A jazz journey to the Prague Sounds Festival
The musical highlight
Six Grammys, one of the most important voices in contemporary vocal jazz, and a concert evening at Prague’s Rudolfinum.
Samara Joy’s voice is reminiscent of the great female jazz singers, whilst her musical vision is firmly rooted in the present.
On 20 November 2026, she will be coming to Prague as part of the Prague Sounds Festival.
Samara Joy grew up in New York and initially sang gospel. Whilst at university, she discovered the recordings of Sarah Vaughan,
Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday.
In 2019, she won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, and her international career took off shortly afterwards.
At the 2023 Grammy Awards, she was honoured both as Best New Artist and for Best Jazz Vocal Album. She has since won six Grammys. Her album *Portrait* won another Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2026.
The concert will take place at the Rudolfinum, one of the city’s most prestigious concert halls.

The BoHo Hotel is situated in a restored historic building near the Powder Tower and Prague’s Old Town. The historic architecture is combined with a modern, minimalist design inside.
A library with a fireplace offers a pleasant spot for reading or taking a short break. There is also a small wellness area, a gym and a restaurant. The main railway station is just as easily accessible as the Old Town, making the BoHo particularly suitable for those arriving by train.

The modern rooms feature a queen-size bed or two single beds, a desk, an LCD TV, free Wi-Fi and a minibar. Depending on the room, the bathroom is equipped with either a shower or a bath.
Hotel Pod Věží ****
The Hotel Pod Věží is situated in the Lesser Town, right next to the Charles Bridge tower. It comprises two historic buildings, just a few steps apart.
With a total of 28 rooms, it is by far the smaller of the two hotel options. Despite its central location, the hotel is set back slightly behind the bridge tower, on Dražického Square. The hotel features a restaurant and a café. The walk to the Rudolfinum takes you across
Charles Bridge and is easily covered on foot.

The rooms are located in the neighbouring building and are equipped with a double bed or two single beds. Facilities include a seating area, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a minibar, a safe and a Nespresso machine. The bathroom features a shower or a bath with an integrated shower. Bathrobes, slippers and a hairdryer are also provided. The rooms are air-conditioned and, depending on their location, offer views of the quiet Dražického Street, the square or the tower of the Charles Bridge.
