Iceland Airwaves Festival 2026 – Musical variety in Reykjavík

Every November, Reykjavík hosts the Iceland Airwaves Festival, an urban music festival that deliberately blends genres – and that is precisely what makes it so appealing. From indie and rock to electro, folk and pop, you’ll discover new acts as well as international stars, often in clubs, bars and cultural venues right in the heart of the city.

The festival runs from 5 to 7 November 2026. It is complemented by selected special events on 4, 5 and 8 November 2026.

The special events include Shygirl on 4 November, Daði Freyr with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra on 5 November,

and The Streets on 8 November.
The festival line-up confirmed so far also showcases precisely the mix for which Iceland Airwaves is known. Among those announced are Adult DVD, Amor Vincit Omnia, Arima Ederra, Árný Margrét, Axel Flóvent, Bana Zahiti, Bleech 9:3, David Bay, Dove Ellis, Emmsjé Gauti, HÉR, Inspector Spacetime, Joe & The Shitboys, Júníus Meyvant, KOIKOI, Liim, MAMMÚT, Oyama, PISS, Pollyfromthedirt, Róshildur, RSP, Skeler, SYL, TÁR, Tunghoyrt, virgin orchestra and Yaelokre.

Iceland Airwaves is a multi-venue festival in downtown Reykjavík; the venues are close together, indoors and easily accessible on foot. This means that with your festival pass, you can easily fit in more than one concert in a single day without having to walk long distances.
