Reykjavík - Iceland

Reykjavík Jazz Festival 2026

from 25 to 30 August 2026

The musical highlight

The Reykjavík Jazz Festival, one of Iceland’s most important jazz festivals and a meeting place for Icelandic and international musicians, will take place from 25 to 30 August 2026. The festival has been part of the cultural scene in the Icelandic capital since 1990.

The Matti Klein Soul Trio will perform on 27 August 2026 at 9.00 pm at Harpa, the modern concert hall in Reykjavík’s old harbour.

The Trio is all about soul jazz. Matti Klein plays the Wurlitzer and Fender Rhodes, two electromechanical keyboard instruments.

The line-up also features bass, saxophone, bass clarinet and drums.

We offer two ticket options.

The compact option includes an Evening Pass for 27 August 2026 at Harpa. With this Evening Pass, you can attend not only the

Matti Klein Soul Trio concert but also all other concerts on this festival evening.

The intensive festival experience includes the Festival Pass for all days of the Reykjavík Jazz Festival from 25 to 30 August 2026.

This pass grants you access to all concerts.

Our Music Travel Hideaways Special: Music Walk and Soundcheck

On a guided walk, you’ll discover Reykjavík’s musical side. Depending on availability, the route takes you to venues, small cultural spots, bars and key locations on the local music scene.

The itinerary also includes a visit to a soundcheck before a concert, giving you a brief glimpse behind the scenes of the Reykjavík Jazz Festival. Both programme items will be finalised and incorporated into your trip following confirmation by the festival.
