Rheinsberg - Germany

Opera gala in the courtyard of Rheinsberg Palace

on 4 July 2026

The musical highlight

Rheinsberg is situated in the north of Brandenburg. Rheinsberg Palace was once the residence of Prince Heinrich of Prussia and is now one of Brandenburg’s most atmospheric cultural venues. In summer, the palace courtyard becomes the stage for the Rheinsberg Palace Chamber Opera. On 3 July 2026, this trip will take you there, to the open-air opera gala.

The opera gala will feature the winners of the 2026 International Singing Competition of the Rheinsberg Palace Chamber Opera, accompanied by the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt under the musical direction of Catherine Larsen-Maguire. The programme will be presented by Fanny Tanck, known from rbb radio3. To mark the 300th anniversary of Prince Heinrich’s birth, the Chamber Opera has also announced a few surprises – a lovely nod to the town and its history.

Discover Rheinsberg

From the hotel, you can easily reach the castle, the park and Lake Grienerick on foot. The lake lies right next to the castle park.

A stroll through the castle park is an absolute must on this trip. On Saturday, there will be time for a boat trip on Lake Grienerick.
