The Musical Highlight
An 8-day river cruise from Amsterdam to Basel aboard the AMADEUS Queen. Under the motto ‘Swinging on the Rhine’, you will enjoy classic jazz, blues and swing performed by 16 international musicians from 7 countries and 3 continents.

Musical direction is by pianist and saxophonist Chris Hopkins.

The route takes you from Amsterdam via Utrecht, Düsseldorf, Cochem, Mainz, Mannheim, Speyer and Strasbourg to Basel.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Amsterdam
Embarkation from 4.00 pm. In the evening, the Riverboat Jazz Festival begins with the festival house band.

Day 2 - Amsterdam - Utrecht
In the morning, the AMADEUS Queen leaves Amsterdam. The first jazz programme takes place on board during the cruise before the ship makes a short stop in Utrecht.

Day 3 - Düsseldorf
Time to explore Düsseldorf, followed by further concerts on board with international jazz musicians.

Day 4 - Cochem
In the afternoon, you arrive in Cochem on the Moselle. Further concerts take place on board in the evening.

Day 5 - Mainz
Time to discover Mainz’s historic Old Town, followed by another jazz programme on board.

Day 6 - Mannheim - Speyer
The ship is in Mannheim in the morning and Speyer in the afternoon. The festival programme continues on board afterwards.

Day 7 - Strasbourg
Discover Strasbourg in the morning. In the evening, the final festival programme takes place on board.

Day 8 - Basel
Arrival in the morning and disembarkation after breakfast.

About the AMADEUS Queen
The AMADEUS Queen combines contemporary elegance with generously designed spaces. Its 12 suites with walk-out balconies and 69 outside cabins with large panoramic windows provide a comfortable setting for your journey. Meals are served in the Panorama Restaurant, while the Panorama Bar, River Terrace and sun deck provide further places to relax and meet fellow guests.

A distinctive feature on board is the indoor pool, whose roof can be opened in fine weather.
