‘Clarinet! Viola! Orchestra!’

The musical highlight
On Saturday, 14 March 2026, at 7.30 p.m., the Marstall in Putbus will be filled with a festive atmosphere: the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra will perform under the baton of Daniel Geiss. The focus will be on two exceptional artists – Pablo Barragán (clarinet) and Timothy Ridout (viola).
The evening will cover a wide range of music: from the overture to Mozart's ‘Le nozze di Figaro’ to Hummel's potpourri for viola and orchestra to Bruch's rarely heard double concerto for clarinet and viola.
The programme will conclude with Mendelssohn's Fourth in A major, the ‘Italian’.

If you still have time for an architectural detour the next day: Circus Putbus, castle park, theatre/orangery; all compactly located in the centre, elegant and typical of the ‘white city’.
