Five evenings of festival
Each of the five festival evenings has its own charm.
It all kicks off on the opening night, when all the contestants present their new songs for the first time on the stage of the Teatro Ariston.
On the following two competition evenings, all the artists sing their entries, and the young artists – the Nuove Proposte – compete in an exciting duel for the title of best new discovery.
A special evening is the so-called cover night on the fourth day of the festival: all artists interpret classics from Italian and international music history, together with prominent guest musicians.
The grand finale is the crowning glory: all candidates sing once more before the winner is crowned, and with it the artist who will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest.
