Sanremo Festival 2027 - An sumptuous experience of musical Italy

The Sanremo Festival is one of Italy’s most important music events and enjoys international renown.

Every year, it attracts music fans and well-known artists to the Italian Riviera. For five evenings, Sanremo becomes the centre of Italian pop music.

The festival will take place from 16 to 20 February 2027.

Five evenings at the Teatro Ariston

The Teatro Ariston is situated right in the centre of Sanremo and has been the festival’s venue since 1977.

The new artistic director and presenter, Stefano De Martino, has announced a revised schedule for 2027.

On Tuesday 16 February and Wednesday 17 February, all the artists will perform their competition entries.

This will be followed by the ‘Cover Night’ on Thursday 18 February. On this evening, the contestants will perform cover versions of other songs.

A new feature is the Friday evening. On 19 February, the artists will perform their own competition entries once more.

By the end of the evening, it will be clear who will represent Italy at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest.

On Saturday 20 February, the Sanremo Festival final takes place. On this evening, the winner of the festival will be chosen.

In 2027, the selection of Italy’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest and the choice of the Sanremo winner will therefore be separate for the first time.
