Opera in the quarry: ‘Tosca’ - open air

From 15 July to 22 August 2026, the Roman quarry in St. Margarethen in Burgenland will be the stage for Giacomo Puccini's Tosca, a major open-air opera event. The rock arena is located in the UNESCO World Heritage region of Fertő/Neusiedler See and offers a striking backdrop for open-air performances.

On the day of the performance, we organise a shuttle bus from the Vienna Opera House to the St. Margarethen quarry and back.
