Film Music Gala ‘A Night in Hollywood’
at the Dalhalla Rock Arena on 8 August 2026
The musical highlight
Dalhalla is an amphitheatre in a former limestone quarry, surrounded by high rock walls. It is located near Rättvik in Dalarna, in the heart of central Sweden.
Here you can experience ‘A Night in Hollywood’ on Saturday, 8 August 2026. The show pays homage to cinema music with well-known melodies from Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Godfather, Titanic and the James Bond films.
The music is performed by the Dalasinfoniettan symphony orchestra.
The evening is hosted by Petra Mede, known to many as the presenter of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, and musical star Martin Redhe Nord. The singing and presenting will be in Swedish and English.

Day 1
5 August 2026, Stockholm
You travel to the Swedish capital and check into your charming boutique hotel in the old town. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy.
Day 2
6 August 2026, Stockholm
Today you have time to experience Stockholm. Stroll through the old town or enjoy a lunch concert in the golden foyer of the Royal Opera. In the evening, the Glenn Miller Café may tempt you with live jazz.

Day 3
7 August 2026, From Stockholm to Dalarna
You continue your journey into the heart of Sweden. You drive through forests and past lakes to the Dalarna region.
Either by rental car (in approx. 3.5–4 hours) or by train to Rättvik.
Once you arrive at your accommodation on Lake Siljan, you can relax and enjoy the rest of the day.

Day 4
8 August 2026, The concert highlight in Dalhalla
During the day, you will have time to explore the surrounding area: the long wooden bridge in Rättvik, small cafés or the traditional workshops where the famous Dala horses are hand-painted, long since a small cult symbol in Sweden.
In the evening, the musical highlight of your trip awaits: ‘A Night in Hollywood’ in the spectacular Dalhalla rock arena.
Surrounded by steep rock faces under the open sky, you will experience film classics from Star Wars to James Bond, performed by the Dalasin Symphony Orchestra.
Day 5
9 August 2026, Return journey
After a Swedish breakfast, you will return to Stockholm, or you can extend your stay as you wish and enjoy a few more days in this beautiful region.

Lady Hamilton Hotel
A boutique hotel in a listed 15th-century building, just a few steps from the Royal Palace in the old town. Inside, you will find a lovely collection of Swedish folk art and antiques, which give the public areas and rooms a special atmosphere.
A nice extra is the historic cellar: the small sauna is located next to a medieval well, which is now used as a cold pool. A real Stockholm unique, which you can book exclusively.
The hotel is just a few steps from the alleys of the Old Town.

Dalhalla Region, 7 to 9 August 2026
Hotell Klockargården, Tällberg
Hotell Klockargården is a family-run hotel in traditional wooden buildings. It is located in Tällberg, a small village on the shores of Lake Siljan in Dalarna, slightly elevated with a view of the lake. You will stay in a bright and spacious suite with lake view (48 m²), balcony and view of the lake, plus a whirlpool in the bathroom and, depending on the suite, your own sauna. Breakfast is included.
The Dalhalla rock arena is about 24 km away. If you prefer not to drive yourself in the evening, you can use the organised bus transfer to the concert.

Our tip: Lunch concerts in the Golden Foyer of the Opera House
On weekdays, lunch concerts are held regularly in the Guldfoajén, the golden foyer of the Royal Opera House.
We highly recommend these mostly short concerts at lunchtime.
Glenn Miller Café:
Jazz bands play in this tiny cult club almost every evening. On Mondays, there is occasionally a small series of concerts entitled ‘Classical Mondays’. We can reserve a table for you on the evening of your choice.
