NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester

The musical highlight
The NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester will be performing at the former Peenemünde power station, which is now part of the Historical-Technical Museum. The programme includes Stenhammar's overture Excelsior!, the tone poem Luonnotar and the sixth symphony by Jean Sibelius, which he himself described as a reminder of the ‘scent of the first snow’. Jukka-Pekka Saraste conducts the concert, with Camilla Nylund as the soloist.
The concert will take place as part of the Usedom Music Festival, which will be celebrated on the island from 20 September to 11 October 2025.

Music Travel Hideaways Special: Visit to the Usedom distillery
Look forward to a visit to the Usedom distillery in the historic Mölschow manor house, including a guided tour and tasting of regional specialities. In around 90 minutes, you will learn more about the production process using local ingredients, the philosophy behind it and taste everything that is produced there - including gin, aquavit, hazelnut spirit and rum. Non-alcoholic alternatives are also on offer.
