„Fedora“ im Teatro La Fenice am 14. November 2026

The Teatro La Fenice opens its new opera season with Umberto Giordano’s ‘Fedora’. The opera was last performed at this venue in 1968 and now returns in a new production. Donato Renzetti conducts the orchestra and chorus of the Teatro La Fenice.
Maria Agresta and Rachele Stanisci will alternate in the title role. Vincenzo Costanzo and Amadi Lagha will sing the part of Count Loris Ipanov. The rest of the cast includes Ekaterina Bakanova as Countess Olga and Simone Piazzola as De Siriex.

Your trip coincides with the final days of the 2026 Biennale d’Arte. The 61st International Art Exhibition is entitled ‘In Minor Keys’ and is open until 22 November at the Giardini, the Arsenale and other venues in Venice.

Take a stroll across Campo San Beneto to the Museo Fortuny. It is housed in the Palazzo Pesaro degli Orfei, the former home and studio of Mariano Fortuny. Fortuny was an artist, inventor and textile designer.

And for a truly Venetian detour that many overlook, take some time to explore Dorsoduro, where Venice feels quieter and less polished away from St Mark’s.
